America the Beautiful? Some
folks among us need a lesson in civics
This not-so-lovely collection of trash grounded by the Neuse River's recent flooding of Smithfield's Spring Branch is just down the embankment from South Second Street where the beautiful Bradford Pear trees are blooming.
Another example of the old adage: "A picture is worth a thousand words."
Justice would be served if those who litter could be caught and sentenced to "community service" to clean up after themselves.
