East Carolina swim meet
at the SRAC this weekend

East Carolina Aquatics will host a "Rock the Block" meet involving about 400 young swimmers this Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 5-6) at the Smithfield Recreation and Aquatics Center.

The meet begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday and continues till Sunday afternoon. Age-group competition is for 11 & over, 12 & over, and 13 & over.
 
To accommodate the meet, the SRAC pool will be closed to the public from 1 p.m. Friday until normal opening time at 5:30 a.m. Monday.

"Hotel Transylvania" will be shown at dusk, Smithfield Community Park

THURSDAY, OCT. 24: HALLOWEEN EGG HAUNT
7 p.m. at Smithfield Community Park baseball fields
For ages 3-12:
Come dressed in a favorite costume and bring a jack-o'-lantern to collect "a hauntingly good gift"

SATURDAY, OCT. 26: TRUNK OR TREAT
10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
at Smithfield Community Park
For ages up to 12 years old:
no costume required; face painting offered

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 30: BOO BASH PARTY
4 to 6 p.m. at the Sarah Yard Center, Smith-Collins Park
