Tennis lessons for ages 10-17 offered
every Sunday p.m. at Community Park
Smithfield Parks & Recreation is offering "drop in" tennis lessons from 4 p.m. to 5:30 every Sunday afternoon through November 24 on the tennis courts beside the Recreation & Aquatics Center at Community Park off Booker Dairy Road.
James Reid, a former high-school tennis coach, and other local coaches are providing the instruction for a fee of $10 per session.
Participants are asked to dress appropriately: tennis shoes and shorts. Participants are asked to bring their own tennis racquet, but if they don't have one they may borrow one at the site.
