186 runners finish Gobble
Waddle 5K event
E. Brownlee and Lane
Dougherty of Smithfield were among the top 10
finishers in last Saturday's Gobble Waddle
5-kilometer run through South Smithfield.
Brownlee, 12, finished first in his age group and fifth overall with a time of 21 minutes, 53 seconds.
Dougherty, 24, finished second in his age group and eighth overall with a time of 23:03.
Other Smithfield residents placing first in their age groups were Carmen Zepp, Christine Johnson, Chuck Elliott, Becky Lovick, and Marie Hill.
A total of 186 runners participated.
HealthQuest Fitness and Wellness Center hosted the event, with proceeds benefiting the Johnston Health Foundation's Heart Fund and Healthy Kids Fund. Complete results of the race are posted online>
