Grinch Run & Jingle Bell Jog Saturday
Smithfield Parks & Recreation
will host
its annual "Grinch Stink Stank Stunk 5K Toy Run" and
"Jingle Bell Jog" at 9 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 7) at
Smithfield Community Park off Booker Dairy Road.The "registration fee" is a new, unwrapped toy or gift card to benefit Harbor and Johnston County Social Services' Angel Tree Project.
Prizes will be awarded for participants judged best dressed as "Whoville" characters from Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

HOLIDAY SEASON ACTIVITIES AT THE "SRAC"
(Smithfield Recreation & Aquatics Center)
• KIDS NIGHT for ages 5-12 on Saturday, Dec. 14, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Swimming, gym fun, cookie decorating, ornament making.
(Please bring a towel and a change of clothes.)
"Parent-free" event --- qualified staff on duty to keep children safe.
Pre-registration by Dec. 13: $8 for Smithfield residents, $13.50 for
non-Smithfield residents, $5 for each additional child. Higher charges
for admission on day of the event if not pre-registered.
• SWIM WITH SANTA on Sunday, Dec. 15, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Cookies and milk for everyone.
SRAC members admitted free of charge; charges for non-member
Smithfield residents: $3 per adult, $2 for children 3-17; for non-member
out-of-town residents: $5.50 and $4.
