SMITHFIELD WELCOMES
SPRING 2021
Saturday was the first day of
Spring 2021, perhaps welcomed a little more than
usual in the wake of the past year's coronavirus
pandemic. It was by no means the prettiest first
day of Spring we've seen, but it was a landmark
day nonetheless --- worthy of a
photojournalist's tour about town....
 A magnificent "tulip tree" graced this yard on Crescent Drive.... She bundled up for a morning stroll at Community Park.... He took to the streets for a pleasant jog a little later in the day....
Must've
been too chilly for Saturday morning baseball
at Community Park....
 But that didn't deter a team of
young boys from practice at Civitan Park....
 And most any day's a good day for
play at the Second Street Dog Park....
